ABOUT BELLA FORMA
Bella Forma Pilates is Wilmington's elevated boutique Pilates studio — where precision meets personality and every client leaves feeling stronger, more confident, and genuinely better that when they walked through the doors.
Bella Forma was built on a simple but powerful belief: that this community deserved a higher standard of Pilates and a better vibe. Not one or the other.
A space that takes the work seriously without taking itself too seriously — where you're guided with expertise, welcomed with warmth, and never made to feel like just another body on the Reformer or Mat.
Every class is rooted in Joseph Pilates' principles including precision, breath, control, and consistency.
Whether you're brand new to Pilates or a seasoned practitioner ready to go deeper, you'll find your place here.
A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER & OWNER
Bella Forma didn't happen by accident — it happened by design.
But first, a step back and a little about me...
I've always been a hard-worker and high-achiever—from my early career in Delaware politics working for U.S. Senator Bill Roth (of the Roth IRA) and Congressman Mike Castle to decades in expanding leadership roles at global financial institutions: MBNA/Bank of America, Citi, Barclays, and Wells Fargo. Ambitious, goal-oriented, driven, never without a next mountain to climb.. Once I reached my career summit, the Managing Director role I worked tirelessly to achieve, I faced several personal challenges: a breast cancer diagnosis, the menopause, my first-born leaving the nest... I could go-on :).
I needed a change. I needed TO change.
So I got quiet, I got honest, and I made three lists.
Q, What's most important? A. Family, friends, health
Q,. What do I love doing? A. Pilates, making espresso, shopping, styling, planning events, hosting, traveling, socializing, reading
Q: What are my professional strengths? A: building, growing & developing successful businesses/products/teams, analytics, marketing, risk management, customer service, communications, sales, creativity
Which brings us to today and the opening of the small business: Bella Forma Pilates.
A place where everything on that list lives under one roof, wrapped in the kind of elevated-yet-personal experience Wilmington didn't have yet.
Not just a studio, but something tangible, positive, and deeply community-driven.
A place where a higher standard of Pilates meets a genuinely warm, uplifting community where friendships are formed.
A place that reflects everything I love—true connection, beautiful design, a perfectly crafted latte, curated style, and the deep satisfaction of making someone happier and healthier- in addition to the special events like Book Club, Pilates + Salsa, Tea Time, and international Pilates trips.
The strength Bella Forma builds isn't just physical — it's the kind that carries you through a health issues, a career pivot, family challenges, a hard season, and out the other side. I know that firsthand. And I built Bella Forma so you can know it, too.
Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.

At Bella Forma Pilates, your practice extends beyond one room and one piece of equipment. Our two studios, The Reformer Room and The Mat Room, are designed to work together, giving you a more complete Pilates practice.
The Reformer uses spring resistance and a moving carriage to provide both support and challenge.
The springs provide continuous feedback throughout each movement, helping you understand where your body is working, identify compensations, and move with greater precision and control.
Practicing Pilates on the Reformer builds strength through controlled resistance, improves alignment and mobility, and develops greater stability through the core, hips, shoulders, and spine.
The Konnector adds independent resistance to all four limbs, further challenging coordination, balance, core stability, and whole-body integration while revealing asymmetries more clearly.
The Reformer Room
The Mat removes much of that external support and asks your body to create stability, organization, and control on its own.
Working against gravity and your own body weight makes even familiar movements surprisingly challenging and requires greater awareness of how your body moves.
Practicing Pilates on the Mat builds deep core strength, spinal mobility, balance, coordination, endurance, and overall body awareness while teaching you to initiate movement from the right muscles rather than relying on momentum.
Infrared heat adds gentle, radiant warmth that can support mobility and circulation while helping muscles feel more pliable as you move through your Mat practice.
